Mary Schofield is licensed to practice law in the state of California. She is a member of the El Dorado County Bar Association, Sacramento County Bar Association, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern California University School of Law and has a Bachelor's Degree in law from Northwestern California University School of Law and an Associate's Degree in Humanities from Glendale Community College.

Mary is a longtime advocate of private and home education in California, having worked as a private school consultant for many years prior to becoming an attorney. She remains active in the home schooling community, speaking at conferences and advocating for parental rights. She has spoken at home school conventions across the United States and in Japan.

In addition to her work as an attorney and private education consultant, Mary teaches at her alma mater, Northwestern California University School of Law.

Mary, her husband Paul, and their two sons moved to El Dorado County in 1989, after growing up in La Crescenta, a foothills community above Los Angeles.
